Yet another Election 2004

I saw Bill Smith (Edmonton's mayor) on the news tonight, basically proclaiming how he was the greatest mayor ever. The arrogant fool actually went on and on about how HE was personally responsible for all the great events that had been held in Edmonton during his tenure: the world 2001 games, some special olympics, the junos, etc. That's great if you're an athlete, mentally challenged, or a canadian content awards show worshipping yuppie. But if you're like me, these events have done DICK ALL for the average person, except create inconveniences to traffic - you all remember that retarded meandering blue line painted all over the roads for the 2001 games marathon route. Besides, these one time events have generated little in the way of long lasting positive changes to the city (improved sporting venues for the rich does not count). Long story short - Bill Smith is an idiot, and you should not re-elect him come the civic election in October.

Good thing no one reads this page, or I'd get sued for libel.

House of Broken Dreams

This morning I had a wicked dream that I was the Jimi Hendrix of 2004 (sadly, minus the afro), cranking out tunes on my '67 stratocaster. It was awesome... until my dreaded talking alarm clock rudely interrupted at 6:49am by announcing that it was 27 degrees inside my room. This 8 - 4 schedule just isn't working for me anymore.

Have a good long weekend.

Photographs

I haven't posted any pictures in a while. So here's one of my current fave blues rocker chick, Polly Jean Harvey. I found it off some guy's website that claims he spent a billion years and then some scanning his pictures so we should credit him if we use them blah blah blah. But now I can't remember the URL...
sorry sucker.

In other related news, a photo I took years ago in the mountains got selected in a contest at work and has been blown up onto one of those wooden board mounts, and will soon grace the walls of our office. If I ever get ambitious enough to unpack my scanner, I'll post the original pic for you to see.

PC Chemotherapy

Adware and spyware have invaded my computer like a malignant cancer. Time to reformat. Soon! I hate computers.
