MOVIES!
I came home and found all the parking on my street was taken up by huge moving trucks. Some had their cabs open, and inside I spied lots of crates, and boxes, and furniture looking stuff. It looked like a truckload sale at the Brick. "Do not pay until 2056". Turns out scenes from a movie are being shot outside my window right now. I have no idea what movie, some indie film or something. They've taken over my whole street, and turned it into an ant hill, only it looks like none of the ants are working. There's about a million people just standing around, pretending to look important and stuff. No wonder it costs so much to make movies. You're paying 1000's in wages for what amounts to very few people actually doing work. Sounds like my day job...

I also found it funny that the Tragically Hip song (dunno the name) where it starts "They shot a movie once, in my hometown..." was playing on the radio right when I thought about blogging this.

The Grind
Hiked up the Grouse Grind this morning. It was neat cause Vancouver was super foggy, drizzly, and just all around crappy today, but hiking up the Grind took us above the poop weather, and we actually got to enjoy some nice sunny mountain air.

This is taken from the top of the mountain. Vancouver is blanketed in fog and pissy weather below. It took us an hour and 15 mins to reach the top. Minus the excessive stopping for Paul to catch his breath, I figure it could've been done in under an hour. Three pics posted in the 'Miscellaneous' gallery, and I've added a couple pics in a new 'Goofing Off' gallery. Terribly exciting pictures, I know.
