Dean's B-day tonight. He made an impressive haul in B-day gifts. Boy, can't wait to get mine from my dad... wee haw... got nothing much else to say. How bout I leave you with a pic instead? This is Dean. He wears this helmet all the time cause he was dropped on his head repeatedly as a stepchild in the trailer park. Notice how pink his scooter is... I'll leave his ambiguity for you to decide.

Decided to check out the festival of trees downtown tonight. Of course it started pouring rain right as soon as we got out of the car to walk around. Good thing I don't own a raincoat yet. Wouldn't want to miss a prime opportunity to catch pneumonia walking around in a torrential downpour wearing a soaking wet fleece jacket. With my luck, I'm probably gonna come down with a violent cold just in time to go home for the holidays...

feeling quite tired tonight, but I'm afraid of the nightmares I'm bound to have. I had to shuck two crabs today at work (shuck = removal of hepatopancreas), meaning I had to rip open a crab's carapace... while it was still alive I might add... you pick the beast up by a hind leg so he can't pincher your ass, pin him down and stick a knife right under the base of his shell (imagine where his anus is and that's where you make the incision). As he squirms for dear life, stick your finger into the incision and proceed to tear the shell away off from the torso. Even after the shell (where the brain is) has been completely separated from the body/legs, he squirms and squirms. And his eyes burn into you with this intense "I'll see you in crustacean hell you murdererer!!!" look. I'm doomed!!!!
Christmas is near, the malls are insanely full, and finding parking is about as easy as learning to speak French (for an Albertan anyways...). I successfully did a bunch of X-mas shopping today though. I'm quite proud of myself. Take a look.
and now for some Christmas carols: Mary had a little Jesus, little Jesus, little Jesus... Mary had a little Jesus, they nailed his ass to the cross... Sunday, December 15, 2002
Had to make some Goi Cuon (vietnamese salad rolls) for a pot-luck X-mas party tonight. Aside from the first few that I botched, they turned out surprisingly well. 22 of the 25 I made were actually eaten. Crazy! People trusting my culinary arts? The intense bouts of diarrhea tomorrow will teach them to know better...
